About School

The School of Computer Science was established in the year of 1998 and offering the BSc Computer Science course under the aegis of the School of Physics. Later in the year 2001, MSc in Computer Science was introduced. It got its own identity as a fully independent department in the year 2017. The school started the PhD programme in the year 2020 after the recruitment of three faculty members along with supportive staffs. The curriculum emphasizes practical and theoretical aspects to prepare students for both industry and academia. The School has a library with good number of books to enrich students' understanding across various Computer Science disciplines. Currently, three PhD scholars are pursuing their doctorate, with one successfully awarded in the year 2023. Many students from the school are regularly qualifying for competitive exams such as NIMCET, CUET, NET, and GATE, and are pursuing further education at prestigious institutes.Several alumnus have secured placements in renowned organizations in India such as TCS, Accenture,WIPRO, DRDO, Deloitte, Kantar etc and also abroad. The school frequently hosts seminars and mentorship programs to guide students. It also promotes collaborative research through a conducive and disciplined academic environment and orient the students towards serving the society.

Vision

To create globally competent undergraduates and postgraduates in Computer Science by imparting training in emerging technologies and collaborative
research through a conducive and disciplined academic environment, and orient them towards serving the society.
