AISHE Prelude

To get a realistic picture on the status of higher education in India the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) has taken a novel step to conduct an annual web-based All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) since 2010-11. Data are being collected from all the institutions involved in imparting higher education throughout of the Country. Data related to teachers, student’s evolvement, Programs, Examination result, education finance, infrastructure indicators of educational development such as pupil teacher ratio, gender parity index, per student expenditure, institution diversity, Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) are being collected.

This Cell caters to the need of such data requirement by the Govt. from time to time and also to make policy decision at the institutional level.
