VC's Profile

Prof. Susanta Kumar Das has obtained his M. Tech degree from IIT Delhi and Ph. D. degree from IIT Kharagpur. He has more than 20 years of experience in teaching and research including six years of Post-Doctoral Scientist position at Max Born Institute, Berlin, Germany. In the scientist community he is well known for his research in the fields of development of high end Medical and Industrial lasers, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. So far, he has completed supervision of 8 Ph.D. students. He has also guided large numbers of M. Tech/B. Tech/ M. Sc students as their supervisor. He has published more than 100 research papers in the reputed Scopus International Journals and Conference proceedings. These papers have been cited by more than 1500 scientists/researchers of India and abroad. His H-index and i-10 index are 18 and 24 respectively.
