About

Dr. Manoranjan Tripathy is an Assistant Professor in the School of Psychology at Gangadhar Meher University, Sambalpur, Odisha. He obtained his Ph.D. in Psychology from Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya. His doctoral research, titled “Effect of Psychosocial Factors on Behavioral Problems in Adolescents and Their Management through Psycho-Yogic Modules,” reflects his sustained interest in adolescent mental health, behavioural interventions, and the integration of psychological and yogic approaches. 


Dr. Tripathy has been actively engaged in teaching, research, and academic development. He has participated in numerous national and international seminars, conferences, workshops, and symposia, where he has presented scholarly papers on diverse psychological themes. His research contributions have been published in several national and international peer-reviewed journals, reflecting his commitment to advancing psychological knowledge and practice.


He has authored academic books, including “Emotional Intelligence: An Overview and A Study of Self-Confidence and Inferiority–Insecurity Feeling as Related to Academic Achievement”, which contribute to the understanding of emotional and personality-related factors in educational settings. In addition, he has edited multiple scholarly volumes such as “Trends in Sociology, Psychology and Anthropology (Volumes 1–7)” and Mind “Matters: Exploring New Horizons in Psychology, highlighting emerging issues and interdisciplinary perspectives in the social sciences.


Beyond his teaching and research roles, Dr. Tripathy has made significant contributions to academic publishing and scholarly communication. He has served in various capacities, including Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board Member, Advisory Board Member, and Reviewer for several national and international peer-reviewed journals. His involvement in these roles reflects his engagement with maintaining academic standards and promoting quality research.


His areas of teaching and academic interest include Research Methodology, Psychological Statistics, Behaviour Modification, Positive Psychology, Health Psychology, Sports Psychology and General Psychology. His research interests broadly focus on Adolescent Behavioural Problems, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Voyeurism and Sadism, Mind Sound Resonance Technique (MSRT) and Psycho-Yogic Interventions.


Dr. Tripathy’s academic work emphasizes the integration of traditional Indian psychological wisdom with contemporary scientific approaches, aiming to promote mental health, well-being, and holistic development among individuals, particularly adolescents and students.
