About School

The School of Anthropology, established in 2019, is committed to setting a standard of excellence through quality teaching and research. Our vision is to extend and apply anthropological knowledge to promote inclusive development and bring positive social change. We strive to impart quality education, preparing students to become adept anthropologists equipped to address contemporary societal issues.

Our curriculum encompasses undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and Ph.D. programs, fostering a comprehensive understanding of anthropology. To enhance the educational experience, we plan to introduce three value-added courses, further enriching our students academic journey. We place a strong emphasis on experiential learning, offering our students unique opportunities to pursue biocultural study of various communities, including indigenous tribal populations, identifying prehistoric sites along the River Mahanadi belt, and visit various museums annually. These efforts are integral to our mission, providing practical exposure that complements classroom instructions and creates trained anthropologists capable of driving social dynamics and human welfare.
