About

Dr. Santosh Kumar Sethi is working as Head, School of Biotechnology, Gangadhar Meher University, Sambalpur, India. His research is primarily concerned with the bioprospective of microbes and algae, as well as their genomics and molecular taxonomy in the face of biotic and abiotic stresses. Prior to joining this Institution, He was worked as National Doctoral and National Post-Doctoral Fellows with external funding support from UGC, CSIR and ICAR Govt. of India. Dr. Sethi presently an active life member of Association of Microbiologist of India (AMI), and the Seaweed Research and Utilization Association, India.

Dr. Sethi loves to work with marginal communities at the grass-roots level on rural based biotechnology for bioentrepreneurship in organic farming and facilitate the development of environmental consciousness among the masses through the development of rural entrepreneurship through Microbial Biofertilizer, Biofungicides and Biocontrol formulation and their production technology

Dr. Sethi has received three research projects on Microbial and Environmental Biotechnology from OSHEC (OURIIP), Govt. of Odisha and others from World Bank and RUSA Seed fund project. Dr. Sethi has successfully mentored postgraduates, M.Phil. and Doctoral students.
