The PG School of Political Science is one of the oldest departments of GM University. Over the years, it has expanded itself into a full fledged unit of the university. It was converted into a PG Department in 1983. It has started offering M. Phil & Ph. D programmes from 2017 onwards. The Department at present follows the CBCS syllabus as prescribed by the UGC. It has an exhaustive library wherefrom books are circulated to students on regular basis. Seminars, extra-mural lectures & extensive programmes are conducted by the Department as part of the curriculum. The Department is proud of its intensive faculty-student rapport. The healthy, competitive and academic environment attracts students not only from western Odisha but also from other parts of the state. It has a rich legacy in terms of achievement of its alumni.
