About School

The under graduate School of Odia started with the establishment of Sambalpur College in the year 1944. The college renamed as Gangadhar Meher College in 1949. Subsequently it expanded with various courses and classes. In 1993 Odia MA class opened with 16 seats. The college became Gangadhar Meher University in 30th May 2015 and now the PG Department of Odia is a full-fledged department with M.Phil & Ph.D research Programmes.
