Dr. Pammi Nitin Sinha is an inter-disciplinary researcher, primarily trained in Geography, GIS, Catchment Modeling, Cartography and Data Management. She has worked in leading institutions in India and the UK, providing policy support through spatial decision-making and natural resource management and monitoring and evaluating projects. She has contributed to a range of projects – funded by the World Bank (WB), Govt. of India (GOI), UNICEF, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh (GOUP), ESRC-UK, European Union (EU) and Govt. of Jharkhand (GOJ) - in various capacities. She has published in international journals with impact factor ranging 1-8.2. She is a Commonwealth fellow as well as a Durham Doctoral Studentship fellow. She has two masters – an MSc in Geo-informatics from BIT Mesra, India and an MSc in Catchment Dynamics and Management from the University of Leeds, UK. She did her doctorate in Water Management (Physical geography) from Durham University, UK.

As a spatial thinker, she believes in the continuity and interconnectivity of information, which is useful for finding patterns in chaos and resolving any problem involving Geography as a major element. She is passionate about transparent policy-making, sustainable development, and data democracy. She enjoys simplifying scientific communications and transferring knowledge to different audiences.
