About

 Dr. Sujit Kumar Jally has been a member of the School of Geography, Gangadhar Meher University since 2020. Prior to joining this institution, he served as a research associate in the Sampal Survey Division at the Indian Agricultural Statistical Research Institute (IASRI) under Indian Council of Agricultural Research in New Delhi, India, from 2011 to 2012. He completed Ph.D. in Geography affiliation with Ravenshaw University and Indian Stitute of Remote Sensing (ISRO), Dehradun in 2018. He pursued his Ph.D. research at Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (ISRO), Dehradun, where he was affiliated with the Marine and Atmospheric Sciences Department (MASD).  He completed Post Graduation Diploma in Geoinformation Science and Erth Observation  with specialisation Geo-Hazards in 2010 from the University of Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands and Professional M.Sc degree in Geoinformatics in 2015 from Uttarakhand University, Haldwani, Nainital, Uttarakhand. He has exposure of research paper presentation within India  and abroad..  He qualified UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) in the year 2012. His research interests encompass a wide range of topics, including Hydrological Modeling, Geoinformatics, Lake ecology study, Oceanography, Disaster Management and Ecosystem Services. Furthermore, he has an impressive track record of publishing numerous research papers in prestigious international journals (SCI & Scopus Journals) and conferences (EGU & IGU).
